Announcing a merger with Academic Management Systems

Invoke has merged with Academic Management Systems (AMS).  Currently, more than 300 premier educational institutions rely on AMS’ CoursEval™ to generate student ratings of courses and instructors.  Combining Invoke and AMS promises establishes Invoke as a technology and insights leader in qualitative and quantitative research for the market research industry as well as academia.

This new organization is investing in the development of a new and re-imagined survey platform built for general use and specific applications.  An agile approach will be taken in order to develop/build at a faster pace. The new platform will include a next-generation user interface and state-of-the-art technology components/services.

The first release will contain a minimal viable feature set, or a simplified version, derived from client feedback and a review of unmet and underserved needs in the commercial and academic marketplaces.  The technology stack will include Java, hybrid data stores, and a responsive interface that automatically adjusts to the device you’re accessing the software on.  Subsequent releases will include more advanced features and a migration plan for seamless integration.

This initial version is intended to be used by new clients.  Current clients will be introduced to the new product in a phased approach as features are added and aligned with your specific usage.

Invoke Launches a Charitable Giving Campaign for the Holidays

Invoke, a recognized pioneer in large-scale focus groups, has launched a campaign to help those in need during the holiday season. Until December 31, 2014, Invoke will donate $1,000 for every research project that is awarded. Donations will be made on behalf of clients to one of three charities, including; Feeding America, Wounded Warrior Project, and Toys for Tots.

“Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and reflection. All of us at Invoke are proud of our accomplishments over the past several years. We want to share our good fortune with our clients — and with communities across America”, said Basil Bennett, CEO. By donating $1,000 for every project that is awarded from now until December 31, our clients will help us feed the hungry, give toys to less fortunate children, and assist our wounded service members.”

Invoke is pleased to share its good fortunes with charitable organizations known for making a measurable difference in people’s lives. Feeding America works with a nationwide network of member food banks that feed more than 37 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters. The Wounded Warrior Project offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of September 11, 2001. And, Toys for Tots is a charitable organization that has collected and distributed 469 million toys since it was first established in 1947.

Dan Von Kohorn is announced to Invoke’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Von Kohorn brings an impressive and diverse background to Invoke. He has founded several companies, served as CTO, and is an active investor and corporate advisor. His expertise includes investment management, machine learning, and decision-support systems.

Mr. Von Kohorn is currently the CEO of v2 Ratings, a Principal at Beta Fund, and a Director at Mediatech Capital. Previously, he ran a commodity fund for seven years and developed investment signaling for two global equity funds for nine years. He has been working with startups for ten years, including founding ThoughtStore, a web-based market for intellectual property that was acquired in 16 months. He began his career at JP Morgan Investments.
“We conducted an extensive search for someone who would further strengthen our board’s breadth of talent and background, and we are confident that Dan’s technical expertise and undertaking of growth companies is going to make an important and positive impact on Invoke.” said Basil Bennett, CEO of Invoke.  “Invoke’s patented technology provides a unique and superior solution for large customers running focus groups.
