Brian is technically a high school dropout. He jumped ship after the 10th grade and enrolled as a freshman at Simons Rock, a liberal arts college in MA that specializes in early college entrance. He graduated with a BA in English after spending his junior year at Scotland’s University of Edinburgh, which also provided his initiation to the music of the highland bagpipes, an enduring obsession. After earning an M.A. in Political Science at another famously damp institution, Seattle’s University of Washington, Brian enjoyed a 25+ year career in higher education administration, mostly in college administration, prior to joining Invoke (formerly AMS) into 2006.
