Invoke 5.5 marks our final major release of the year, and it’s packed with enhancements to make your creative workflows faster, smarter, and more precise. With Flux Tools integrated into Invoke’s Control Canvas, improved performance for both professional users and community users running Invoke on less powerful GPUs, and a new launcher for running Invoke Community Edition on your desktop, we hope this update will give you a lot to play with during your holiday breaks.
Flux Tools + Control Canvas = Infinite Control
Invoke’s Control Canvas has become the industry standard for creative production tasks, and with full Flux integration, it’s even more powerful. Here’s what’s new:
- Flux Canny and Depth Tools: Use depth mapping and hard edge detection tools to guide structure, composition, and content with precision.
- Editable Control Layers: Modify your layers directly on the canvas to control the structure and composition of your images. Add or replace line guidance and the model will fill in the rest.
- Combined Layers: Seamlessly layer your image with Control Layers, Reference Images, and other tools into a unified workspace to control every aspect of the generation process.
Apply Prompts to Specific Regions
Regional Guidance layers are now available for Flux models. We introduced Regional Guidance Layers for SDXL models earlier this year and they quickly became an invaluable tool for achieving production-quality results and control over outputs. Now, Regional Guidance is available for Flux.
Here’s how it works:
- Apply positive text prompts to targeted regions.
- The model guides the generation process in that region towards the prompts you provided.
- When regional guidance layers are combined with other control layers, like Line Edge Detection, you can achieve a very high level of control in your creative workflows.
We’ve seen regional guidance layers work best when combined with a global prompt that supports it.
A New, Easier Way to Run Invoke Community Edition
We’re excited to introduce a new all-in-one installer and launcher for Invoke Community Edition! Now, you can install, update, and run our free, open-source version with just a few clicks—no terminal commands or browsers required. This streamlined app makes it easier than ever to:
- Install Invoke Community Edition locally
- Update seamlessly to the latest versions
- Launch directly from your desktop
Upgrades to Our Indie Plan
Invoke 5.5 also brings exciting updates for Professional Edition users, making it easier to achieve professional-grade results:
- Model Training on Indie Plan: Our step-by-step model training tool is now available on our Indie plan (previously only Premier and Enterprise). Add and caption datasets and train custom models to achieve consistency across style, character, and environments.
- End-of-Year Special Offer: As an appreciation to our community, we’re offering the biggest discount to our Indie plan that we’ve ever offered, until the end of the year. Users who sign up between now and December 31st, 2024 will receive 50% off their subscription for the first 3 months using promo code INVOKEHOLIDAYS (or, if you choose an annual subscription, use promo code INVOKEALLYEAR). If you’ve ever been thinking about trying out the Professional Edition (maybe your GPU is just a little too slow for everything you want to do with Flux), now is the time to do it!
How to Get Started with Invoke 5.5 + Flux Tools Today
Professional Edition users can directly upload Flux models from their hard drive or through our Hugging Face integration. They will then need to either attest that they have a commercial license from Black Forest Labs or are using the model non-commercially.
If you don’t yet have a commercial license and need one, we can help you get in contact with BFL to acquire one. Soon, acquiring a Flux commercial license will be even easier—you’ll be able to append it directly to your Invoke account.
Community Edition users will add Flux through their Model Manager, either from their hard drive or through our Hugging Face Integration. You can continue to explore Flux for personal, non-commercial projects.
